Announcements mailing list

Posted by Administrator on Thu, Dec 13 2012 02:02:00

As more leagues start using Zuluru, it is getting harder and harder to keep everyone updated about the latest features. Also, it seems likely that others might be interested in having a way to keep up-to-date. So, I have created a mailing list for sending out announcements! Anyone can subscribe, but note that this is a "one-way" list; you will not be able to send messages to it, only receive messages from me through it.

Version 1.5

Version 1.5 has been released! This major upgrade adds the concept of "affiliates", allowing a single organization to run multiple disconnected sub-organizations through a single site. See the "features" page for more details.

Zuluru can now handle newsletters, sent to dynamic mailing lists (e.g. "all men over 33 that didn't register for Masters league"). Communicating with members just got easier!

User Guides

A set of user guides have been added, covering tasks common to new users, advanced users, captains, coordinators and administrators. These should help everyone to get the most out of Zuluru!

Multiple sports

Zuluru is now almost all the way to supporting other sports. The first phase is to support any one team sport; later work will enable organizations to handle multiple sports with a single install.

All of the infrastructure is in place, now just need people that know other sports to work with me to fill in the details. No programming required, just an in-depth knowledge of the sport. I'd like to handle softball, baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, volleyball, dodgeball, netball, lacrosse, and surely some others I've forgotten. Contact admin@zuluru.org if you'd like to help out.
